DeSavino & Sons fabricates and installs Dekton countertops in Northeastern Pennsylvania from Olyphant, PA. Made by Cosentino, Dekton provides a durable option for kitchen counters, bathroom surfaces and outdoor countertop projects.

Dekton combines more than twenty natural minerals using Cosentino's Sinterized Particle Technology. Heat and pressure transform those ingredients into an ultracompact surface with low water absorption and a broad range of architectural applications.

Key features

  • Nonporous surface with very low water absorption
  • High stain resistance for easier maintenance
  • High resistance to heat
  • UV resistance for outdoor applications
  • Resistance to abrasion and scratching, subject to finish
  • Large-format slabs that can help reduce the number of joints

Best uses

Choose Dekton for indoor kitchen countertops, bathroom surfaces and outdoor countertops where UV resistance matters. Cosentino also offers it for floors, wall surfaces and facades.

Discuss the chosen color, finish and thickness in relation to the application. Scratch resistance is not identical across the range, and Cosentino notes that XGloss finishes can be more susceptible to scratching.
