Richlite

Richlite is a high-performance material for residential and commercial surfaces. It has been used by the aerospace and marine industries for decades, as a sanitary food prep surface in commercial kitchens, and even as a skate ramp surface.
The material is dense and durable, comparable to solid surface and stone: stain, heat and scratch resistant, sanitary, and capable of long cantilevers and spans.
Key features
- Resin-infused paper composite.
- Color runs through the material.
- Natural paper creates color variation.
- Develops a patina with use.
- Countertops can be refinished.
- Heritage Collection is NSF/ANSI 51 certified.
Best uses
Richlite suits desks, reception counters and work surfaces where a changing, seasoned appearance is welcome. For food-prep counters, choose a product with the required food-contact documentation.
It is less suitable when the design requires a permanently unchanged color and sheen. Lighter colors can show stains more readily, and prolonged contact with some foods or harsh cleaners can leave marks.

Common questions
Will Richlite keep the same appearance over time?
No. It develops a patina with use, including changes in luster. Natural color variation is also part of the material.
Can I use bleach on a Richlite countertop?
Richlite’s care guide advises against bleach and abrasive powdered cleaners. Follow the directions for the installed finish.
Is every Richlite collection certified for food contact?
Do not assume so. The countertop page specifically identifies the Heritage Collection as NSF/ANSI 51 certified; verify the selected product.
